Featured Pieces
Set of Four Spanish Art Deco Chairs with Brass Ball Finials c. 1920 in Kate Medlicott Odette, Indigo & Raspberry
A set of four Spanish Art Deco chairs from the 1920s, built on a curule base: crossed, sweeping legs that read almost architectural from the side. Square posts rise at the back to polished brass ball finials, framing a padded back panel, and each seat carries a tie-on cushion newly covered in Kate Medlicott's Odette in Indigo & Raspberry. The warm wood has the soft patina of a century of use. Low and compact, they pull up neatly to a game table and work just as well around a small dining table or scattered as occasional seating.
Pair of French Club Chairs with Carved Wood Accents c. 1960 in Mally Skok Nantucket
A handsome pair of French club chairs from the 1960s, low and substantial, with carved wood arm supports that bring real warmth to the tailored silhouette. Square padded arms, a softly angled back and a deep seat make them as comfortable as they are architectural. Odette loved the way the time-earned patina of the carved wood plays against the crisp check of the Mally Skok Nantucket upholstery. Strong enough to anchor a living room, and easy to place anywhere in a room.
Pair of Sculptural Armchairs with Cane Sides, France c. 1930 in Otea Vintage Scarf, Wings
Odette was drawn to the mix of structure and softness here. Carved wood arms and caned sides give these chairs real presence, while the shaped backs and plump tailored seats keep them inviting and livable. Raised on carved cabriole legs, the frames have just enough curve to add interest without overwhelming, and they work beautifully as a pair flanking a fireplace, anchoring a sitting area, or anywhere a room wants a little old-world warmth. Comfort and character, in that easy, layered French way.
Pair of Italian Bamboo Framed Wing Armchairs c. 1970 in Leah O'Connell Textiles Astrid, Mulberry
A pair of Italian armchairs from about 1970, their bamboo frames lacquered a deep teal. Tall backs flare out into wings, the sides are filled with cane, and each chair rests on a base of stacked bamboo rails with casters hidden underneath. Odette had them reupholstered in Leah O'Connell's Astrid in Mulberry, mulberry medallions and blush lilies on a soft blue ground, with loose back, seat and arm cushions that make them as comfortable as they look. Broad and inviting, they anchor a corner or flank a fireplace.
