A pair of French bridge armchairs from about 1940, each with a compact upholstered back and seat held in a warm wood frame. The arms sweep down in one curve to meet the front legs, which flare gently at the foot. Upholstered in Ferran Textiles Bursa Willow in Slate, they are scaled for a desk, a dressing table or a game table, and strong enough to hold their own anywhere in a room.
