A French Art Deco club chair from around 1940, its dark wood frame cut with faceted, stepped edges that run the full sweep of each arm and down into reeded block legs. The barrel back curves in one line into the arms, and the seat sits deep and low, upholstered in Work + Sea terracotta ticking. Substantial without feeling heavy, it brings the period's architectural confidence to a reading corner or the end of a sofa.
