A pair of Edwardian armchairs, c. 1900, built around the barley twist: spiral-turned spindles form the back, and the same twist runs down the legs and through the curved stretchers below. A caned panel sits in the gently bowed crest rail, the seats are caned to match, and the horseshoe arms wrap around for a relaxed, enveloping sit. The wood carries a warm, time-earned patina throughout. Easy as desk chairs, at a game table, or as a pair in a sitting room.
