A pair of Baumann armchairs from 1970s France, their black lacquered frames drawn in a bold architectural line, with an open circular crest, clean squared arms and a glossy finish that reads crisp and graphic. Odette had the seats and backs newly upholstered in Leah O'Connell Textiles Nell in Whiskey, a warm geometric print in rust and blush that softens the black frames and gives the pair real personality. Visually light yet substantial, they suit a conversation corner, a study or either side of a game table, and the lacquer carries the gentle, time-earned patina of a well-loved vintage piece.
